This striking hybrid perennial combines the vigour of echinacea with rudbeckia’s fast growth, producing large, long-lasting blooms ablaze with red, yellow, and orange hues surrounding dark brown centres. The distinctive flame-like petals create an eye-catching display from early summer through late autumn, with each flower persisting up to ten weeks.The plant develops a compact, upright form reaching approximately 60cm tall and wide, making it ideal for borders, containers, and cutting gardens. Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Water well during the growing season and deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming. Once established, this hybrid is remarkably drought tolerant and low maintenance. Divide clumps every two to three years in early spring to maintain vigour. It is disease resistant, deer resistant, and beloved by bees and butterflies, making it an excellent choice for wildlife gardens.
