Nandina domestica 'Gulf Stream' (Pot Size 4L) Gulf Stream Heavenly Bamboo sold by Boma Garden Centre

Gulf Stream is a compact evergreen shrub that earns its place with reliable year-round colour. Foliage shifts from bronze-orange in spring through soft green in summer to rich red and gold as autumn arrives. The natural upright form holds its shape with minimal fussing, making it ideal for borders, foundation planting or containers.Site it in full sun with well-drained soil for the strongest colour development. Once established, the plant is impressively drought tolerant and rarely needs intervention. Gulf Stream is hardy throughout the UK, easily surviving severe winters down to -15°C.The white flowers that appear in summer are modest and understated. More tellingly, Gulf Stream rarely berries – unlike many Nandina cultivars – which keeps the plant tidy and controlled rather than becoming sprawling. It is an evergreen that genuinely improves with age, growing denser and more architecturally interesting as the years pass.
