This clump-forming perennial produces stunning purple-pink flowers held in stiff panicles above dark green, toothed foliage from early summer through autumn. The flowers are irresistible to bees and other pollinators, making it excellent for wildlife-friendly gardens. Very hardy and requires little maintenance-no staking necessary. Grow in full sun in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Once established, it tolerates dry conditions well. In cold areas, protect with a dry winter mulch during harsh winters. Cut back in spring as new growth emerges.
