Stipa tenuissima 'Pony Tails' (Pot Size 10.5cm) Pony tail grass sold by Boma Garden Centre

This semi-evergreen ornamental grass forms compact upright tufts of fine thread-like silvery-green foliage that catch light and move gracefully in breezes. In summer, feathery pale brown flowering panicles emerge on arching stems, adding seasonal interest and architectural form.Hardy through most of the UK (H4) and holding the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is ideal for gravel gardens, borders, coastal settings and contemporary courtyards. Extremely drought-tolerant once established, it thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, tolerating various soil types including chalk, clay, loam and sand. Low maintenance and generally pest and disease-free.
