Spathiphyllum more commonly known as the Peace Lily is every north-facing, shady corner, basement flat owners best friend! These robust plants can withstand very low light levels and don’t require a huge amount of TLC either. Be sure to keep the soil moist but don’t saturate the plant as, if overwatered, its roots can start to rot, leaves can yellow and the plant may also wilt, making it difficult to tell if your Peace Lily is thirsty or drowning! Spathiphyllum is an ideal beginners plant; if you miss a watering day, you’ll know about it.
