Orchids are a firm favourite when it comes to flowering houseplants, from rare and endangered species only collectors can seem to get their hands on, to widely available varieties that produce gorgeous showy blooms. Phalaeonpsis ‘Kolibri’ is a very floriferous variety, with long and frequent blooming periods, this orchid always puts on a show. For an extra helping hand, you can feed in spring/ summer with specific flowering/ foliage feeds. The most important factors when caring for Phalaenopsis are temeperature and water- ensure your orchid is in a warm spot and not sitting in water/ wet growing media as they can respond badly.
