BetterGrow Perlite is a sterile, lightweight, and highly porous material. It’s made from natural volcanic rock that has been heated to 1000°C, causing it to expand much like volcanic popcorn. This material is stable, durable, and maintains a neutral pH, being neither acidic nor alkaline.Seed Planting: For seed planting, consider incorporating up to 20% BetterGrow Perlite by volume into your potting or seed-starting mixes. This addition enhances both aeration and drainage, which can help fend off root diseases and promote healthy root development. It also minimizes temperature variances and wards off soil compaction.Cuttings:For cuttings, you can include as much as 50% BetterGrow Perlite by volume in your planting mix for enhanced aeration and drainage, particularly beneficial for hardwood cuttings.
