Peperomia prostrata 'Pepperspot' (Pot Size 14cm) String of Turtles sold by Boma Garden Centre

Peperomia prostrata ‘Pepperspot’ is a charming trailing houseplant native to the rainforests of Ecuador. Long, fine stems are adorned with small, round, intricately veined leaves that resemble tiny turtle shells, giving rise to the common name String of Turtles. The stems have a distinctive reddish-bronze tint, creating attractive contrast with the glossy green foliage.Place in bright, indirect light away from direct sun, which can scorch leaves. Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry between waterings – overwatering is the main cause of problems with this species. Maintain temperatures of 18-30°C and prefer humid conditions, though it adapts well to average household humidity. Low-maintenance and forgiving of occasional neglect, it is ideal for beginners and those seeking a trailing accent for shelves or hanging planters.
