Myrtillocactus geometrizans is a striking succulent with distinctive thick, blue-green columnar stems that branch into a candelabra shape as they mature. Native to Mexico, this fast-growing cactus thrives on bright light and minimal water.Place in the brightest spot you have-a south-facing window is ideal. Water sparingly, only when the soil has dried completely; in summer every 2-3 weeks is usually enough, less in winter. Use a cactus mix or well-draining sandy soil.This semi-hardy cactus prefers temperatures between 60-80°F and should be brought indoors if the temperature drops below 50°F. Avoid high humidity and never overwater, which can cause root rot. Young plants can tolerate some afternoon shade, but mature specimens prefer full sun to maintain their blue colouration.
