Ficus elastica or the rubber plant is seen in many indoor settings across the country- from houses to restaurants, offices and hotels due to its low maintanence and big impact nature.Ficus ‘Tineke’ is a gorgeous cultivar with striking cream/ green variegated foliage and lush leathery new growth. In summer months they can be quite thirsty but in winter, depending on how warm the environment is its best to leave dry. The rubber plant is a fantastic houseplant that really doesn’t require too much attention- occasionally rotate your plant for even growth all round (if more light is on one side) and wipe the leaves clean of dust for a healthy happy Ficus.
