Echinocactus grusonii (Pot Size 8.5cm) Golden Barrel Cactus sold by Boma Garden Centre

Echinocactus grusonii is a slow-growing, spherical cactus prized for its striking appearance: a perfect barrel shape densely clothed in bright golden-yellow spines. This young specimen will gradually develop into a substantial specimen over many years.Position in bright indirect light near a south or west-facing window, ideally receiving some direct sun. Plant in well-draining cactus compost with added grit and water sparingly: allow the soil to dry completely between waterings, and withhold water almost entirely during autumn and winter dormancy.Matures slowly over 10-20 years. Mature plants may eventually produce small yellow flowers in summer, though this is rare on indoor specimens.
