Dahlegria Red answers the dark-leaved Dahlegria White with vibrant red single flowers blazing against near-black foliage. The open blooms, around 10cm across, are a strong draw for bees and other pollinators.Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost, in a sheltered spot with room for air to move around the plant. Pinch out the tips for bushiness and stake the stems as they grow.Flowering from June into October, it is superb in a border, holds its own in a large pot and makes a bold cut flower.
