Crassula ‘Hottentot’ is a beautiful yet strange variety, with stacked geometric leaves, and long sprawling stems. Caring for this Crassula is pretty much the same as all others. Bright light, allow to dry between watering, and a free draining compost is ideal. It’s best to avoid getting water on the leaf surface as if it sits in the cracks and crevices it can cause potential rotting. When mature, Crassula ‘Hottentot’ produces clusters of pretty pink/ white blooms, however, don’t be fooled by their pretty appearance as you can get quite a smelly surprise!
