Produces fragrant white blossom in spring, followed by golden oranges in late autumn and winter if conditions permit.Glossy evergreen leaves provide year-round interest. Requires full sun and a warm, sheltered position outdoors. In the UK, grow outdoors May–September and move to a cool greenhouse or conservatory October–April.Prefers moderately heavy, well-drained loam with added compost and sand. Water regularly when the soil surface feels dry but avoid waterlogging. Feed monthly with a citrus-specific fertiliser during the growing season. Tender (H3 hardiness). May take several years to fruit—success depends on light, warmth and consistent care.
