Chrysanthemum x morifolium Purple (Pot Size 15cm) Florist's Chrysanthemum; Mum sold by Boma Garden Centre

Chrysanthemum x morifolium, the florist’s chrysanthemum or mum, is a classic temporary houseplant renowned for masses of vibrant purple double flowers that provide 6-8 weeks of continuous blooms with proper care.Place in bright light near a south-facing window; flower buds may fail to open without sufficient sunlight. Keep soil evenly moist but well-drained, watering when the top inch feels dry-these thirsty plants may need daily watering. Cool temperatures between 13-18°C (55-65°F) extend the flowering period; warmer rooms shorten bloom duration.Important: Chrysanthemums are toxic to dogs, cats, horses, and children. They contain pyrethrins and sesquiterpene lactones which can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of coordination if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children. These potted mums are typically treated as temporary display plants rather than long-term houseplants. After flowering ends, they are often discarded, though some gardeners attempt to propagate or move them outdoors in spring.
