Ceropegia woodii, commonly known as String of Hearts, is a popular houseplant due to its stylish, elegant foliage and easy care. Being native to South Africa indicates the requirements for optimum growth – lots of sunlight and minimal water. Although the String of Hearts is a sought after plant for its attractive foliage, they also bear interesting tubular flowers along the stems. Ceropegia flowers vary in size and form but all exhibit the same characteristics- Tubular in form with five petals, usually joined at the tips.
