Ceropegia simoneae (Pot Size 8cm) Lantern Flower sold by Boma Garden Centre

This unusual succulent vine from Madagascar displays slender, twisting stems with tiny paired succulent leaves. During summer, delicate lantern-shaped flowers emerge in pale cream with distinctive dark maroon speckles, each featuring characteristic spiral tendrils hanging from the base of the corolla.Position in bright indirect light less than 3 feet from a south-facing window, or near north or east-facing exposure. Water sparingly—allow soil to dry two-thirds of the way down the pot between waterings, as overwatering causes root rot. Use free-draining cactus or succulent compost with good drainage holes. This beginner-friendly plant thrives in normal household temperatures (15–27°C) and adapts to average indoor humidity with no misting required. It is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it safe for homes with pets. The trailing habit makes it ideal for hanging baskets where long, twisting shoots can cascade beautifully.
