Cereus jamacaru (Pot Size 12cm) Cuddly Cactus sold by Boma Garden Centre

The Cuddly Cactus is a striking columnar succulent with a soft, sculptural presence. Its distinctive blue-green stem features four to six soft, pleated ridges with gently scalloped edges. Unlike many cacti, this variety is covered in harmless fluff rather than sharp spines, making it safe and pleasant to handle.A mature plant makes a bold statement in any sunny spot, though it grows steadily rather than rapidly. This is an exceptionally low-maintenance plant. It thrives in bright, sunny conditions and needs very little water-let the soil dry out completely between waterings, and reduce watering further in winter to prevent root rot. Well-draining cactus compost is essential. The plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a good choice for homes with pets. Indoors, it rarely flowers, but the architectural form of the stem is the real appeal.
