Ceanothus thyrsiflorus 'Blue Diamond' (Pot Size 5L) Californian Lilac sold by Boma Garden Centre

Ceanothus ‘Blue Diamond’ is a compact, bushy evergreen shrub producing abundant fragrant spheres of vibrant blue flowers from late spring through early summer. The small, glossy, dark green leaves remain attractive year-round, creating a dense, rounded mound 1–1.5 metres high.Plant in full sun in a sheltered position with well-drained soil, ideally south- or west-facing. This Californian lilac tolerates lime-based soils but may yellow on shallow chalk. Water regularly during establishment but avoid waterlogging. Prune immediately after flowering, cutting back flowered shoots by one-third to one-half to maintain compact form.Excellent for wildlife gardens, borders, and coastal settings where it reliably attracts bees and butterflies.
