Camellia sasanqua 'Strawberry Swirl' (Pot Size 19cm) sold by Boma Garden Centre

Camellia ‘Strawberry Swirl’ is a charming evergreen shrub noted for its softly coloured blossoms that brighten the darker months. The simple flowers show an attractive swirl of strawberry pink and creamy white, centred with a gold cluster of stamens, making a delicate contrast against its dark green leaves.  The foliage remains evergreen and glossy, offering year-round structure in your garden.  With its graceful, upright and somewhat open habit, ‘Strawberry Swirl’ suits both borders and containers.  It’s especially valued for extending floral interest into the late autumn and winter, when few shrubs are in flower.  Use it as a container specimen by a window or on a patio, or plant it in an acid shrub border alongside companion plants like heathers, camellia japonica species, ferns, or winter-flowering shrubs for contrast.
