Camellia sasanqua 'Plantation Pink' (Pot Size 29cm) Plantation Pink Camellia sold by Boma Garden Centre

Camellia sasanqua ‘Plantation Pink’ is a vigorous evergreen shrub prized for its large, pale pink single flowers with prominent golden-yellow stamens, which bloom from mid-autumn through early winter. The flowers are fragrant and sweetly scented, adding winter interest to gardens. The foliage is glossy, dark green, and leathery, providing year-round structure. This cultivar thrives in a sheltered, sunny position – unlike most camellias, sasanqua varieties prefer full sun or partial shade. Plant in moist but well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5-6.0); ericaceous compost is essential. Protect from cold, dry winds and early morning frost, as these can damage buds and emerging flowers. Water consistently during dry spells and feed with a slow-release ericaceous fertiliser in spring and after flowering.
