Brunnera macrophylla 'variegata' (Pot Size 17cm) Variegated Siberian Bugloss sold by Boma Garden Centre

Brunnera ‘Variegata’ is a classic shade perennial that brings softness and contrast into darker parts of the garden. Its broad, heart-shaped leaves are gently edged in creamy white, with fresh green centres creating a natural, painterly effect rather than a sharp variegation. This gives the plant a relaxed, woodland character that blends beautifully into planting schemes. In spring, slender stems rise above the foliage carrying airy clusters of small, clear blue flowers, closely resembling forget-me-nots. These flowers add a light, floating quality, weaving through the foliage and softening the overall form of the plant.Perfect for shaded borders, underplanting trees, or woodland-style gardens, it pairs effortlessly with hostas, ferns, hellebores and heuchera. The variegation also makes it particularly useful in brightening north-facing patios or containers, where it provides long-lasting structure and seasonal interest.
