Acer palmatum var. dissectum 'Inaba Shidare' (Pot Size 10L) Inaba Shidare Japanese Maple sold by Boma Garden Centre

Acer palmatum var. dissectum ‘Inaba Shidare’ is one of the most striking laceleaf Japanese maples, with gracefully cascading branches and deeply dissected, lacy foliage. The leaves emerge in spring as deep purple, mature to burgundy through summer, and transform to brilliant crimson in autumn. This vigorous weeping cultivar is heat and scorch resistant, making it ideal for UK gardens. This specimen thrives in moist, well-drained soil with a preference for partial shade, though it tolerates full sun in cooler regions. Water freely during dry spells and ensure the soil does not dry out completely. The strong branch structure of Inaba Shidare is more resilient than other dissectum varieties. It is hardy to -20°C (H6) and perfectly suited to UK gardens. Its dramatic cascading silhouette makes it an outstanding focal point in borders or as a specimen plant.
