Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Bannow Bay’ is an improved form of the much loved purple pittosporum ‘Tom Thumb’. This new variety also has excellent year-round foliage interest. Its new growth starts green and changes to pink and cream mottled colour before maturing to purple.This excellent dwarf form evergreen shrub has small purple flowers in spring. But the real attraction is the foliage. It provides a perfect contrast for growing with orange flowering perennials such as Kniphofia or Geum and looks great with ornamental grasses such as Stipa tenuissima.
