The spider plant is a go-to for every new plant parent due to its easy care nature, fresh, attractive foliage and air purifying properties. Chlorophytum is a lush leafy plant native to tropical and southern Africa- with long strap-like foliage, it could almost be mistaken for grass. Although this species is native to tropical regions, it doesn’t require wet, tropical conditions. Avoid placing near an open heat source such as a radiator or fireplace. As well as being an air purifier, Chlorophytum is also child and pet friendly, so it does make an excellent plant for all owners- plant, pet and human parents!
