Begonia rex 'Beleaf Maui Sunset' (Pot Size 9cm) sold by Boma Garden Centre

This begonia is all about the foliage. Large, velvety leaves display striking patterns of deep pink, burgundy, silver and black blending into dark and light green, creating psychedelic swirling effects reminiscent of a tropical sunset. Introduced by Koppe Begonia in 2020, Beleaf Maui Sunset is one of the hardiest decorative-leaf begonias available, prized by houseplant collectors for its visual distinctiveness and reliable performance. The plant is compact and well-branched, forming multiple shoots from the base to create a full appearance. Short, firm leaves make it more resistant to fungal issues than many other begonias. Although it produces small pinkish flowers, the ornamental value lies entirely in the extraordinary foliage. Place in a warm, humid spot with bright indirect light, keeping temperatures between 18-26°C. Water when the top of soil feels slightly dry, always at soil level to keep the rhizome dry. Maintain high humidity (60-75%) using a pebble tray; avoid misting leaves. This begonia will remain beautiful for years with regular care and adequate space to grow.
