Acer shirasawanum 'Aureum' (Pot Size 7.5L) Golden Full Moon Japanese Maple sold by Boma Garden Centre

Acer shirasawanum ‘Aureum’ is one of the most admired golden Japanese Maples, prized for its soft glowing foliage and graceful architectural shape. The rounded palmate leaves emerge vivid chartreuse-yellow in spring, creating an almost luminous effect in shaded gardens, before deepening into rich lime-green tones through summer. As autumn approaches, the foliage transforms into spectacular shades of orange, amber and scarlet red.Its elegant, layered branching structure brings calm texture and refined colour to woodland borders, courtyards and Japanese-inspired planting schemes. Particularly effective against darker evergreen backdrops, ‘Aureum’ combines beautifully with ferns, Hakonechloa grasses, Heuchera and shade-loving perennials. This slow-growing ornamental shrub is ideal for premium containers or smaller London gardens where sophisticated structure and seasonal interest are desired without overwhelming the space.
