Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' (Pot Size 65L) Japanese maple sold by Boma Garden Centre

Acer palmatum ‘Bloodgood’ is a distinctive Japanese maple with deeply lobed, deep red-purple foliage that transforms to brilliant red in autumn. This hardy, vigorous small tree grows slowly to 2.5–4 metres, making it perfect for smaller gardens, containers, and architectural displays. The foliage features five to seven slender-pointed lobes, complemented by small purple flowers in spring followed by red fruits. The RHS Award of Garden Merit recognises its reliability and garden value. Plant in moist but well-drained soil with neutral or acid pH; partial shade enhances the foliage colour, though full sun is acceptable. Sheltered positions prevent leaf scorch. This problem-free cultivar thrives in city gardens, rock gardens, and cottage landscapes.
